Chicago Hockey is a blog started in June of 2008 to provide insight and analysis into hockey in the Windy City. While the blog will focus primarily on the Chicago Blackhawks, there will also be occasional features and commentary on the AHL’s Wolves and USHL’s Steel.

After spending two years as a beat writer covering University of Michigan Hockey (and travelling as far as Fairbanks, Alaska with the team) for The Michigan Daily, he spent the past season and is currently working for Inside College Hockey, an affiliate site of ESPN.com covering the Central Collegiate Hockey Association. Dowd also writes a blog about the Detroit Red Wings for The Hockey News. His writing has also been featured on ESPN.com, CSTV, Yahoo! Sports, The Honolulu Advertiser, The Rocky Mountain News, Hockey Now Magazine, and in Hockey Weekly.
